Perfect for LS swap in classic hot rod
This LS1 engine was used in our R&D department to test manifold and camshaft combinations. The engine has dyno time only and will be covered under our 3-year unlimited mile warranty. As it sits, the engine has a 4-barrel style manifold (not included, see options below), or can be changed to the Wieand multi-point fuel injection (MPI) manifold. The 4-barrel Edelbrock intake manifold is also compatible with bolt-on throttle body fuel injection systems designed to replace carburetors, e.g., Holley Stealth, FAST EZ-EFI, and FiTech.
Our final test included a custom ground hydraulic roller camshaft from Comp Cams. We chose to keep this camshaft in the engine due to its increased performance and lopey idle. A comparison to the stock camshaft can be seen (dyno graph) and heard (video) below.
