This is a rebuilt set of 360-401 AMC heads with 50cc closed combustion chambers.

This head was only made in 1970 ad the first part of 1971.


These heads feature:

  • 50cc as cast combustion chambers (casting #291)
  • Heads have been vatted, glassbeaded/steelabrated and magnaflux checked to be free of cracks
  • 3-angle valve job
  • Both heads resurfaced
  • 2.02\"Int/1.625\"Exh swirl polished stainless valves with undercut stems for even more flow and single groove keepers for added strength
  • Heads are set up for use screw-in rocker studs for use with 1.6 ratio adjustable rocker arms including roller tipped or full roller design. Studs not included
  • Bronze valve guides for leaded or unleaded fuels
  • 1.440\" valve springs with Chrome moly retainers set up to be used with up to .600\" valve lift.
  • Heat rise blocked
  • High temperature positive valve seals
  • Dog leg high flow exhaust ports have been ported including bowls
  • Int runners and bowls have been ported
  • Hardened ex. seats for use with leaded or unleaded fuel
