Does it reuse that factory clips at the bottom so that its as secure as the original?

Dear oo4lifeoo,That\'s a great question!
No, when you remove nearly 1 3/8 from the bottom of the grill you also remove the 5 tabs that attach the black honeycomb to the chrome grill itself.
What this means is there is no way to secure the the grill using the factory clips properly because the honeycomb is no longer attached to the chrome at the bottom.
And if the grill is cut correctly there is not enough room to screw a jury rigged piece of aftermarket metal and aftermarket clip made in China that will rust to the honeycomb piece correctly!
The screws would be exposed, not embedded correctly which will jeopardize the structural integrity of the installation leaving it very flimsy.
Even worse another seller tries to use aftermarket clips made in china BY SMASHING THEM FLAT UNLIKE THE FACTORY U SHAPED CLIPS which are galvanized which removes the tension to hold them in place, and 2are not even the right length then attach them to the face of the honeycomb which stick out like a sore thumb and will rust all over. Even all 4 more often than not (will come loose) after hitting the first bump which will cause the grill to rattle.See other sellers negative feedback for this complaint.
Instead what we use are the factory screws at the top and 2cable ties ( UL LISTED ) MADE FROM DUPONT 66 NYLON WHICH HAS A LIFE EXPECTANCY OF 25 YEARS, which can not be seen and are the same idea that law enforcement uses to detain criminals which are extremely stronger and placed not at the bottom but higher up were the honeycomb is attached with6 tabs to the chrome part of the grill.
The spacing of the cable ties evenly strengthens the grill for a secure and perfect fit every time for the life of your truck!
