Modified Toyota Supra vs. Chevrolet Corvette Z06 – Street Hits

This is a typical bread-and-butter roll racing matchup between an import and a domestic powerhouse. A collaborative effort between Toyota and BMW, the new Supra is a relative newcomer to the North American market. The Chevy Corvette Z06 has been around for decades and remains the flagship of the GM lineup. Tonight, they will lock horns on the interstate (in Mexico) for some 50 mph to 150 mph roll racing action. Buckle up and hang on to your hats.

The Toyota Supra is equipped with a twin turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine. This particular Supra has been upgraded with a Pure Turbo 800 package that allegedly yields approximately 800hp. In stock trim, the Supra could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9-seconds and had a top speed of 155 mph. It’s safe to assume that the Supra featured in this video can do much better.

As the “king of the hill” when it comes to the Chevrolet/GM heap, the Corvette Z06 packs a big punch courtesy of a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 motor. It is capable of producing 650hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque and accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3-seconds (stock). The ‘Vette you see in this video has been treated to a full accoutrement of bolt-ons as well as a high-performance exhaust system. It is the living incarnation of bad to the bone.

These two competitors line up on the interstate with plenty of video equipment attached. There are multiple hits and various camera angles. Get ready for a great race!
