First up is the new (2024) Lamborghini Revuelto with its 6.5-liter V12 gas burner and a trio of electric motors. Standing alone, the mid-mounted V12 engine is capable of producing 814hp. Three electric motors bump the maximum output up to 1,015hp and 793 lb.-ft. of torque. The all-wheel drive Revuelto is shifted using an 8-speed dual-clutch direct drive transmission with huge paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Despite being a heavy pig at 4,450-pounds, this Lambo can accelerate from 0 to 60 in 2.3-seconds with a top speed of 218 mph.
Just like the Revuelto, the Ferrari SF90 utilizes a trio of electric motors and a gas engine to make magic. This time, it’s a mid-mounted twin turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that can churn out 786hp. Add the lithium-ion battery powered motors and you get 1,016 total horsepower from the Prancing Horse contingent. Significantly lighter than the Lamborghini, this all-wheel drive Italian tips the scale at a svelte 3,900-pounds. Also, like the Revuelto, the SF90 uses an 8-speed gearbox and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.3-seconds. Top speed is a computer controlled 211 mph.
Finally, the irritated German. The Porsche 918 is a menace – to the opposition. Powered by a naturally aspirated 4.6-liter V8 gas engine and a pair of electric motors, the 918 can make the equivalent of 887hp. At a curb weight of 3,690-pounds, this pricey Porsche ($1.6-million) is all-wheel drive with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and a top speed of 214 mph.
The time has come to let these falcons fly.
