Made in France, the all-wheel drive Bugatti is well heeled with a mid-mounted 8.0-liter W16 engine with four turbochargers. This beast of a power plant can churn out 1,578hp and 1,180 lb.-ft. of torque at peak RPM. In stock trim, the Chiron SS can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.3-seconds and turn the quarter-mile in 9.1-seconds @ 161 mph. At a curb weight of 4,450-pounds, the Chiron has a top speed of 273 mph. Now, that’s fast!
Representing the Italians is the Lamborghini Huracan. Equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the stock Huracan can produce 631hp and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5-seconds. Modified with a twin turbo kit and a massive intercooler, this Lambo is capable of producing 1,800hp. Today, this sexy Italian will be detuned to 1,600hp for the sake of parity.
A 600hp Mini will also be in the mix. Look for him to be a non-factor.
Without further ado, let’s race.
