1968/1969 400HP CHEVY CORVETTE INTAKE MANIFOLD HIGH IDLE CONTROL BRACKET NO RES
This sale is a ONE TIME ONLY EVENT!!! offer TO OWN!!! All NCRS members that have beenreluctant tobuy this part at $1000, now is your chance to own it for less!
This item is being saleed to benefit a close friend, Gary Foote, a 48 year-old Army veteran and father of 3 children. Gary recently fell 6 feet straight down as a staircase collapsed beneath him resulting in a dislocated knee and the tearing of all major ligaments. Consequently, the top half of his right leg has limited connection to the bottom half. Gary's surgeon has told him that he needs surgery as soon as possible. Gary has no insurance and the surgery is expected to cost over $30,000. All proceeds from this sale will be donated to help Gary cover his medical expenses. This sale is your chance to own this impossible to find bracket while helping Gary get his life back. Thank You.
Low starting offer of $500, offer.
This item normally sells for $1000, see our other "BUY IT NOW" listing for the same part. (120817457858)
The above item is an EXACT REPRODUCTION of the highly elusive 1968/1969 Corvette Tri-Power High Idle Solenoid Bracket. This bracket assembly is judged in NCRS Flight Judging and Bloomington Gold Judging and is absolutely impossible to find. Before this reproduction became available, one or two of these brackets would surface every year and sell for $4000 to $5000!
These brackets were on all 1968/1969 400HP Corvettes with Air Conditioning as well as 400HP with Automatic (With or without A.C). They were also factory installed on 1969 Automatic L71/L89 Corvettes. This bracket is not correct for 1967 Corvettes, nor is it correct for 427/390HP Corvettes.
The bracket kit is an EXACT REPRODUCTION of the original in all aspects including weight, dimensions, fit, finish and hardware. Like the originals, it was produced here in the USA using a 500 ton press and .090 stock. I was able to provide the tool and die makers with a set of the GM blueprints for the bracket pieces as well as an original bracket assembly to ensure the exactness of the finished pieces. I also had correct RBW head 1 ¼ X 1/4 X 20 bolts made for the clamp part of the bracket as well as correct hardware for the carburetor tab. In order to produce the bracket, clamp and carburetor tab 21 separate stamping steps were required and the final tooling cost was $21,000!!!
The kit consists of the main bracket, clamping arm, carburetor tab, correct RBW bolt for the clamp and correct hardware to mount the carburetor tab. The kit DOES NOT include the electrical solenoid. These bracket kits have been on judged Corvettes at NCRS National Conventions and at Bloomington Gold and have had no point deductions!
The pictures above show the reproduction alongside an original for comparison. This listing is for a single reproduction bracket kit.
