You are bidding on a Pair of Brand New Southwest Speed Painted Flat Black Performance Long Tube Headers that are direct fit for 1978-1987 GM Passenger cars with Small Block Chevy 265-400 Cu. In. Engines (SWS Part #440-2255).
This pair of Southwest Speed Performance Long Tube Headers offer an immediate increase in performance by eliminating backpressure, improving exhaust flow, and building more horsepower. The consistent tubing diameter contributes to the smooth air flow and greater exhaust velocity of these headers. These headers are a direct replacement for 1978-1987 Chevy Malibu/El Camino/Monte Carlo, Pontiac Lemans/Grand Lemans/Grand Prix, Buick Regal & Oldsmobile Cutlass with Small Block Chevy 265-400 Cu. In. Engines. These headers are Ground parallel with .380" flanges on the cylinder head surface, and feature 1 5/8" Primary tubes with 3" collectors, complete with header bolts and gaskets and reducer bolts and gaskets. Includes a pair of 2 1/2" reducers to complete the installation. Fits Factory aluminum angle plug heads (Will not fit Aftermarket aluminum angle plug heads).

- 5. 1979-1987 models with small (radial) A/C Compressor will re-use the stock bracket.
- 6. Stock exhaust must be modified to the retain catalytic converters.
- 7. Models with O2 (Oxygen) sensors will require purchase of O2 fittings.

Paint Warning:
These headers are painted with a high heat dull black paint. It will generally dull even more when the engine is started. The header paint will smoke and let off an odor the first few times the engine is up to temperature and the black finish will become duller turning closer to gray in color. If exhaust temperatures are extreme at start the paint will blister and peel. There is no warranty on header paint.
Header Return Policy:
Please refer to the header measurement chart below to make sure the header will fit your vehicle and application before ordering. In the event you order a header that will not fit your vehicle and application, you may return them for a refund, providing you don't damage the header. When you receive the header the finish will be protected and must remain unscratched for a refund. If you bend or dimple any of the tubes or scratch the finish, we will not be able to sell the header and will not be able to process a refund. Use care when trial fitting headers. Repack them well to prevent damage returning them to us. We won't process refunds for scratched, dimpled, dented, or bent headers.
