The Ring Buddy!
This transmission teflon oil control ring tool kit (The Ring Buddy) easily installs and sizes turbine shaft teflon seals (input shaft oil control rings).
The Ring Buddy was specially designed for those notoriously hard to install Teflon rings on GM TurboHydramatic 6l80e/6l90efamily of transmissions. These Teflon oil control rings on the turbine shaft are supposed to be replaced on every repair. Failure of the seal rings will cause leaks and reduced apply pressure that will cause your clutches to slip and burn. Built of tough PVC plastic, the Ring Buddy is designed to prevent damage to your rings.
The Ring Buddy expands the teflon sealing ringsand allows for quick and easy installation.
1. Lubricate the Ring Buddy expander with trans-gel.
2. Slide the desired seal over the expander.
3. Remove the seal from the expander.
4. Center the new seals in the groove.
5. Lubricate the Ring Buddy re-sizer with trans-gel.
6. Gently guide the Ring Buddy sizer over the seal to collapse it into the groove and properly size it.

PLEASE NOTE
DO NOT leave the seals on the Ring Buddy expander tool over extended periods of time, doing so will cause them to over expand and leak.
Fits 6L80e and 6L90einput shafts.
