Limpy is on the light and more than twenty competitors are expected to show up in Dallas (Mexico) for a winner-take-all drag racing showdown. This single elimination contest is scheduled to run all night and into the morning. Let’s race!

Featured first is a souped-up Mercury Capri (Ford Mustang) with a 347 cubic-inch small block Ford motor. It’s got a Powerglide transmission and a 350hp shot of nitrous. Kaboom!

Next up is a 1970 Chevrolet Camaro from Beater Bomb and Memory Loss Racing. This split-bumper coupe is equipped with a big block Chevy mill being force fed a single kit of nitrous. Looks fast.

Finally, we have Yoshi. She’s a 1953 Chevrolet pickup with a twin turbocharged LS engine mated to a Powerglide transmission.

Another Fox Body Mustang is outfitted with a 7.0-liter LSx (GM) mill with a 107-millimeter turbo. There are some heavy hitters in this field.

The first race of Round 1 is between a pair of angry Mustangs. OG Limpy drops the light and pandemonium ensues. Street Racing is many things. It’s never boring.
