USA vs. Japan – 50 to 150 MPH Street Hits

December 5th, 2024

Yon know the score. We have a couple of heavy hitters on the streets (of Mexico), tonight. There has been a fair amount of posturing and yakking about who hit jack. Now, it’s time to put your money where your mouth is – it’s time for the rubber to hit the road. It’s the USA versus Japan as a blown Camaro goes against a GT-R with a set of upgraded turbos.

The all-wheel drive GT-R is top of the heap for the Nissan lineup. He’s running a twin turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 that can make approximately 600hp in stock trim. The GT-R in this video has been modified with a set of Nismo turbochargers, a full assortment of aftermarket bolt-ons, an E85 tune and a fair degree of weight reduction. That’s right, Godzilla is lean and mean.

A track car by design, the rear-wheel drive Chevy Camaro SS comes with a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8. Right out of the box this bad bowtie was capable of producing 450hp and 450 lb.-ft. of torque. This racer added a ProCharger D1X with all the supporting mods. This relatively low-cost modification flipped this car into the next dimension – performance wise. This car is hitting a mean lick. It tickles my ear bone.

Alright, when the talking is over it’s time to race. Let’s get it on!
