Twin Turbo Viper Runs 8.39-Second Quarter-MileThis video begins with a no B.S. dyno run that offers proof of this Viper’s horsepower availability. This thing turned out 1,724-horsepower at the rear-wheels with the boost dialed down to 30 psi (maximum boost capacity is estimated at 35 to 36 psi). After pushing the dyno to its utter limits, the guys at D3 take the Snake out to the track for some electronically timed 1/4-mile passes. D3 has a reputation for producing 8-second cars and this clip certainly doesn’t tarnish it.

This Mopar is equipped with a Greg Good racing engine, upgraded cylinder head fasteners, Pro EFI fuel injection/engine management system, twin 76-millimeter Precision turbochargers, a D3 Performance Engineering air-to-water kit with a 20+ gallon ice tank in the rear, a MoTech D127 programmer, a Turbo 400 automatic transmission, and a D3 industrial strength racing wiring harness.
