Timeless Kustoms Supercharged 1969 Chevy Camaro Pro Touring Restomod
September 19th, 2024Coming in hot from the left coast is this cool custom Camaro from Timeless Kustoms. Maintaining the nostalgic appearance of a 1969 Camaro is no easy task when everything that makes it go is ultra-modern. Take a gander for yourself.
It starts where it starts. The chassis has been modified with a DSE hydroformed subframe in the front and a DSE quad-link setup in the rear. JRI double adjustable shocks, with front and rear reservoirs, adorn all four corners. Stopping duties are handled via a Brembo carbon-ceramic four-wheel disc brake setup with a Wilwood master cylinder. The wheels are 19-inch HRE (12-inch wide in the rear and 10-inch wide in the front) wrapped in Pirelli Corsa Rosso rubber. The redline sidewalls are a nice touch.
Making the wheels go round is a supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 V8 engine with a Kong Performance ported 2650 blower. Maximum power is estimated at 800hp to the crankshaft or 680hp to the rear wheels. That’s on pump gas and 14 psi of boost.
Shifting is left to a Tremec T-56 Magnum 6-speed manual transmission. The rear differential is an Eaton Truetrac with 3.55:1 gearing.
You know what time it is – sit back and enjoy the ride.
