Tonight, we catch up with Billy (TH3 KID) and the Street Racing Channel (SRC) crew as they light out for KD Dragway (Ohio) and an event known as the Civil War. Sure enough, shots are fired before the start of the first round when a fellow competitor calls out Billy for a “fresh off the trailer” contest. Let’s see what these guys are working with.

Going against TH3 KID is a (Small Tire) 1962 Chevy II Nova. It has a 6.0-liter LS motor with forged internals and a 91-millimeter turbocharger. The transmission is a Powerglide. This is a steel bodied car with a fiberglass front clip. Should be a good test for young Billy in the S10.

As it turns out, the Nova is experiencing technical difficulties with the fuel injection system. They will have to wait until later in the round for this one. The SRC crew are understanding and allow the postponement.

As these two guys line up, the weather is getting hot and so is the track surface. It’s slick and traction is at a premium. TH3 KID stages first and the Chevy II bumps in afterward. The light drops and Billy comes out of the hole like a bat outta Hades. He takes a big lead and – despite having to overcome a traction issue near the midway point – comes away with a big win.

With $10K on the line, it feels good to get past that first round. On to Round 2 and more No Prep Drag Racing Action!
