Texas Streets – Twin Turbo Mustang vs. Twin Turbo CTS-V and Big Turbo BMW

December 13th, 2024

Me and my homies are hooking back up on the border of Texas and Mexico. We will be crossing over into the south for some spirited street (roll) racing on the interstate. The machines are prepped and ready. Time to show these clowns how we get down.

The supercharged mill in the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe has been swapped for a twin turbo setup. Nicknamed Sucia (Dirty), this Caddy is riding low and always ready to go. In its current state of modification, this CTS-V is capable of producing approximately 1,100hp on pump gas. He will need all of that power tonight.

The pivot ride for this video is the Ford Mustang GT. Factory equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 engine; the Mustang GT has an exhaust note than sounds like music to my ears. Add a pair of turbochargers to the cramped engine bay and you have a serious street machine. Sucia is packing tons of power but this Mustang ain’t rolling over for anyone.

Finally, we have the import contingent. The BMW 340i is sporting an inline 6-cylinder engine with an oversize turbo. He also has all-wheel drive. Despite the smaller engine, these cars make hay in the roll racing game. The bigger turbo adds power and torque. X-Drive keeps the wheels spinning in the right direction.

We join the action, already in progress.
