Texas Street Hits – 1100HP Lone Star Throwdown
January 8th, 2025When the sun goes down on these Texas (Mexico) streets, the gearheads roll out. Tonight, we have a prolific assortment of purpose-built street racing machines that run the gauntlet from high-performance to extreme. Hold on to your hats, it’s about to be a wild ride.
First up is a modified Ford Mustang GT. This Coyote has been massaged with an RPG Racing piston and rod combo. Midnight Performance added a twin 64-millimeter turbo setup along with some transmission fortification. When all is said and done, this pony car is capable of laying down 1,100hp to the pavement.
Next, we have a MK5 Toyota Supra. This rowdy import has a built 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine (six-port head) with a big old 7275 Precision turbocharger. The transmission is also professionally built with billet internals, no doubt. Coincidentally, the Supra can also muster 1,100hp on a good night.
Representing the Chevy faithful, we have a Corvette Z06. This bad bowtie is modified with a 7.0-liter supercharged mill. The 2650 blower has been ported by Kong Performance for maximum air flow. This old girl has also undergone some degree of weight reduction. Can you believe it? The ‘Vette is also claiming 1,100hp.
There are plenty of other cars on this clip and the racing is about to begin. Buckle-up!
