At the risk of dating myself, I will tell you that the release of the movie “Corvette Summer” found a teenage version of myself in the local cinema; popcorn and soft drink in hand. The fact that actors played parts in the cult classic was of no consequence to me. The radically customized Corvette was the star and I shall never forget her. That’s going to get under the skin of many Mustang purists; many of whom bleed Ford Blue. Motivation for this pony car comes in the form of a salvaged GM LQ9 (6.0-liter) V8 engine (from a 2003 Cadillac Escalade SUV).
