Street Racing: 1951 Chevy Business Coupe

June 22nd, 2015

Street Racing 1951 Chevy Business CoupeYou have to deal with all kinds of business in this life. There is good business, bad business, dirty business, serious business – there is even monkey business – but this New Mexico based street racer is all about a different kind of business. This portly looking old car is inspired by the BEATER BOMB, but it looks one heckuva’ lot better. With the appearance of a classic cruiser and the launch of a pro-stock dragster, this ’51 Chevrolet Business Coupe is a genuine street sleeper.

This ride is from an era when bumpers were made of chromed steel and wheels had hubcaps. It is motivated by a 5.3-liter Chevrolet LSx engine bored to 347-cubic-inches (running E85 fuel) and a 250 shot of nitrous. Total output is estimated at 600-horsepower delivered to the beefy back tires via a Powerglide transmission.

NOTE: We neither condone nor encourage racing on public streets.
