Oh, it’s on like hotcakes down south! It ain’t Drag Week and it ain’t Race Week – this is Sick Week 2022. This is another drag-and-drive contest that will test the limits of man and machine as they attempt to bracket race five separate tracks in as many days. Yes! Competitors must drive between tracks; checking-in at various points along the way. Buckle-up ‘cause this thing is about to get hairy.

One of the standouts in the tech line is a 1964 Triumph Spitfire. Pretty it is not, but it does have a big V8 with a massive turbo protruding through the hood. This could be interesting. During testing, the ugly little ducking is experiencing mechanical issues. Maybe he will get things worked out in time for the real racing.

Next, we see an impressive Fox Body Mustang with a drop top. You just don’t see that many fast convertibles. Let’s see how it runs. First pass down this track and he posts a 7.10-second pass @ 199.55 mph. Wow! That is fast!

Then there’s Tom Bailey’s Sick Camaro. Tom is the guy hosting this event and he has what is being billed as the quickest street car on earth. This Chevy pro-mod routinely runs in the fives. He coasted to an 8.60 during testing.
