April 1st, 2025

With temperatures rising in the deep south, the time for high-speed roll racing is upon us. Today, Big Frank brings us a contest between a pair of turbocharged super machines. Let’s join Frank for the rundown before the roll racing action jumps off (in Mexico).

What we have in the right lane is a Porsche 911 Turbo S. The Turbo S is powered by a twin turbocharged 3.7-liter flat 6 engine capable of making 640hp and 590 lb.-ft. of torque. This all-wheel drive sports car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.6-seconds. With a top speed of 205 mph, the Turbo S can turn the standing quarter-mile in 10.1-seconds @ 137 mph. Featured in this video is a Porsche that has been modified with a full accoutrement of aftermarket bolt-ons. It is burning premium pump gas with a methanol additive. Can the Porsche withstand the attack of Godzilla?

In the left lane is the R35 Nissan GT-R (a.k.a. Godzilla). Equipped with a twin turbocharged 3.8-liter V6, the all-wheel drive GT-R can produce 565hp and 467 lb.-ft. of torque in stock condition. This speedy coupe could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9-seconds and cruise through the quarter-mile in 11-seconds @ 125 mph. Top speed was 205 mph. The GT-R in this video has been upgraded with a full roster of bolt-ons. It is tuned to burn E85 fuel. Godzilla will have his paws full with this pricey Porsche, today.
