Modified Infiniti Q60S vs. R35 Nissan GT-R – Dig and Roll

July 15th, 2022

Make no mistake, what we have here is a drag race between a pair of the finest cars that Nissan has to offer. Infiniti? Anyone who has ever worked on an Infiniti will tell you that Nissan identification labels are stuck all over. You see, Infiniti is the luxury division of Nissan. Today, we pit one against the other in a quarter-mile battle of speed and acceleration.

If I were picking a winner, it would be the GT-R. Why? The GT-R is lighter and makes more horsepower. Under the hood of the stock Nissan GT-R is a twin turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 that can churn out 560hp and 467 lb.-ft. of torque. Like the Q60S, the GT-R is an all-wheel drive coupe. Unlike the Q60S, the GT-R uses a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. The GT-R weighs-in at 3,915-pounds.

The elegant Infiniti Q60S outweighs the GT-R by only 35-pounds. It is powered by a twin turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. The Q60S makes less horsepower (500hp) than the GT-R, but more torque (510 lb.-ft.). The Q60S has been performance tuned.

This should be a great race between two cars that are at home on street or strip.
