Modified BMW M3 vs. 5.0 Ford F-150 – Street Hits

January 11th, 2023

Taking it back to the streets (of Mexico) for some roll racing this evening. It’s a contest between a modified BMW M3 and a souped-up Ford F-150 pickup. Should be interesting to see what happens between the all-wheel drive European and America’s truck in rear-wheel drive.

The Beemer M340i is equipped with a twin turbocharged 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine. In stock condition it can make 382hp and 369 ft.-lb. of torque. The luxury sedan can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.25-seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph. Featured in this video is a car that has been modified with an aftermarket (catless) exhaust downpipe. It has also been tuned to burn E50 fuel.

In the other lane is the premier work truck in the U.S. Set up much like a Mustang GT, the F-150 shortbed is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine capable of producing 395hp and 400 lb.-ft. of torque. The stock F-150 tops out at 120 mph (electronically controlled) and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4-seconds. This Ford has been upgraded with an aftermarket intake manifold and a set of exhaust headers. This truck has also been tuned to burn E85 fuel.

We join the action – already in progress.
