Mercedes vs. Mustang – 60 to 140 MPH Street Hits
January 14th, 2025In this clip we have a contest between a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and a Ford Mustang GT. Both cars have been gently modified and the (roll) race will be on the streets of Mexico.
Breathtaking in Canary Yellow, the Mustang is packing a 5.0-liter V8 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. In stock trim, this seventh generation Mustang could produce 480hp and 420 lb.-ft. of torque at peak RPM. Modifications to the car in the video include a cold air intake and performance exhaust. Only Roush offers a tune for this late model car and it’s way expensive so, no tune at the moment. Nevertheless, it’s sounding good and looking good.
In the other lane is the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. This luxury sedan has a naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V8 motor from the factory. It’s bolted to a 7-speed automatic transmission. Fresh off the assembly line, the C63 could churn out 451hp and 443 lb.-ft. of torque. Featured in this video is a car modified with a set of exhaust headers and an E85 tune. This car has the stance of a contender.
Shall we hit the interstate and see what shakes loose?
