LT4 Swapped Chevy Half-Ton Pickup-SCT Atlanta

May 12th, 2021

How can you get your half-ton Chevrolet pickup to be all it can be? Well, you pull out the factory running gear and stab in a LT4 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission from a Corvette ZL1. If you happen to have the engine controller and wiring harness on hand, use it too. This teal truck is getting dialed in at Street Car Takeover Atlanta and turning some consistent 10-second passes. Have a gander for yourself.

With new rubber on the rear (Nitto 20-inch 555R2 drag radials) and the first-string tuner on the case, the ZL1500 ran its first ever 10-second quarter-mile pass. A few tuning adjustments and a slightly different shifting strategy should land this slick looking Chevy in the mid-ten-second range.

Under the hood of this cowboy Cadillac is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 from a Corvette ZL1. The motor was rated at 650hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque in stock trim. The teal truck has been modified to produce approximately 800whp. Shifting duties are also handled utilizing a 10-speed automatic transmission from a ZL1. The truck is a 1993 model.

I see nines in the near future for this slick pickup.
