Import vs. Domestic – Street Hits

March 2nd, 2018

Typical nightlife, somewhere south of the border. The backdrop: the deserted interstate of a big city. The players: Some of the most elite roll racing hooligans and renegades in North America.

After the posturing and other pre race antics are completed, it’s time to get at the real stars of the show – the cars (and truck).

First up is a 1,300hp Nissan GT-R. It has been treated to a Boost Logic 1300X Package and it moves like lightning strikes (hard and fast).

In strict contrast, there’s a Firebird Formula with a built 6.0-liter V8, LS3 cylinder heads, and an 88-millimeter turbocharger. A TH400 automatic transmission delivers 1,200hp to the rear wheels.

The race between these two cars is very close and covered from multiple camera angles.

Next, we have  a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It’s a Mazda RX-7 with a Coyote engine and a 76-millimeter turbo (18 psi of boost). The Mazda is going against a Fox body with a turbocharged small block Ford V8. I can’t tell a thing about this one. The GT-R camera car just ate them both (Godzilla).

In a domestic on domestic battle, we have an 840whp Dodge Charger Hellcat (upper pulley upgrade, catalytic converter delete, running E85 fuel) taking on a Mustang with a Paxton Novi 2200 supercharger; running E85 fuel (700whp).

There’s a ton more action on this clip. Have a gander for yourself.
