Grocery Getter vs. Supercars – Mercedes-Benz E63S AMG and Modded GT-Rs

March 31st, 2022

Maybe it’s just me, but if I fork out a $100K on a supercar, I certainly don’t want to get gapped by a station wagon — any station wagon. This clip brings us the struggle that ensues when a pair of Nissan GT-R owners get attacked by a rabid Mercedes grocery getter. In the spirit of maximum disclosure, some cars featured in this video have been modified to improve performance and handling.

On the agenda for today are roll racing and drag racing contests. The affair has been arranged in a best of three format. Warning: The British weather is not cooperating and things could go pear shaped at any second.

Oh, yeah. The cars – let’s talk about those.

First up is Shabz. He is driving an AC Speedtech tuned R35 Nissan GT-R with a stock V6 motor and SVM Stage 3 turbochargers. It has also been upgraded with an SVM intercooler, an aftermarket exhaust downpipe, K&N air filters, oversize fuel injectors and twin motorsports fuel pumps. Maximum output is estimated to be 800whp.

Tom’s Mercedes-Benz E63S AMG has a stock V8 engine with twin turbochargers. Modifications include Littco custom turbochargers, racing exhaust, high flow fuel pumps and ZAC Motorsports airboxes and filters. The wagon is tuned by Race Dyno Tuning. Due to a last-minute methanol injection system issue, the E63S is detuned to produce 875whp.

The second GT-R is driven by Amar. His Nissan is capable of producing 625whp. He’s in for a real struggle in this field.

Can’t wait to see what happens when these three put the rubber to the road.
