Green Goblin Corvette Stingray vs. Corvette Z06 – Street Hits

March 25th, 2025

Big Frank is getting back to the streets (of Mexico) tonight. We have a pair of C7 Corvettes in a high-stakes grudge match. Roll racing is on the agenda.

In the right lane is the Green Goblin Corvette Stingray. Hailing from the West Coast, this Stingray is loaded with high-performance goodies. Known modifications include (but are not limited to) a high-ram intake manifold, a full accoutrement of aftermarket bolt-ons and a tank full of VP M5 race gas. The base engine in the Stingray was a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter LT1 V8 rated at 460hp and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. The stock Stingray could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7-seconds and turn the standing quarter-mile in 12.2-seconds @ 118 mph. Top speed was 181 mph.

The other C7 Chevrolet Corvette in this contest is the Z06 version. The Z06 comes equipped with a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 capable of producing 650hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque in stock trim. The Z06 version of this iconic sports car could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9-seconds and blow through the quarter-mile in 10.95-seconds @ 127 mph. At a curb weight of 3,524-pounds, the C7 Z06 boasted a top speed of 200 mph. Featured in this video is a Corvette Z06 that has undergone some modifications. They include a supercharger pulley upgrade, exhaust headers, bolt-ons, an E50 tune and a methanol injection system.

My head says the supercharged car will win. My gut says, the Green Goblin is hiding something. Who you got?
