Fastest Porsche – Drag Race Version
January 20th, 2025What we have here is a Porsche showdown. That’s right, it’s a head-to-head drag race between a trio of the most capable Porsche models in existence. Let’s have a look.
First up is the Porsche 911 Turbo S. Equipped with a twin turbo 3.8-liter flat 6-cylinder motor, the Turbo S can make 650hp and 590 lb.-ft. of torque with a redline of 7,200 RPM. The all-wheel drive Turbo S can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.6-seconds and turn the standing quarter-mile in 9.9-seconds @ 138 mph. Top speed is 205 mph.
The brand-new Porsche Taycan GT is powered by four electric motors capable of generating 1,034hp and 988 lb.-ft. of torque. Top speed is 190mph and the Taycan can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.0-seconds flat. This luxury sedan can blister the standing quarter-mile in 9.3-seconds @ 153 mph.
Finally, we have an ES Motors tuned Porsche 911 Turbo S. With all the expert modification, this 911 can manage 1,100hp and 880 lb.-ft of torque. There’s just no telling how fast this ES Motors tuned Turbo S can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph and crush the quarter-mile. Question is: Can it keep up with the all-electric Taycan in a standing quarter-mile? We are about to find out.
