Fastest 1969 Camaro in the World Sets New Record

This video documents record breaking events as they unfold during the Mojave Magnum at the Willow Springs Raceway. This is a 1.5-mile course that demands the absolute best from driver and machine.
For the Gottlieb family, the Big Red Camaro is a labor of love spanning more than three decades. Utilizing powertrain and suspension changes, Big Red transforms from street car to drag racer to world speed record setter on a regular basis. In an attempt to set a new personal best top speed, Big Red will be outfitted with its maximum output package. This platform includes a massive engine dubbed the Elephant 2. The all-aluminum Elephant 2 motor consists of a 565 cubic-inch Brodix block with a pair of Brodix cylinder heads. For this application, the power adder will be a ProCharger F3A crankshaft-driven blower. Outfitted with fuel injection, this setup is rated at 2,000hp on 20 psi of boost.
