Demon Blower Swapped Challenger Hellcat vs. C8 Corvette Stingray – Street Hits

February 13th, 2025

It’s a battle for the title of the baddest American production model on these streets, tonight. What we have are a pair of gently modified boulevard bruisers. Take a look.

The Dodge Challenger Hellcat is arguably the most powerful production coupe ever. It comes with a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI engine capable of making 800hp on race gas. The Challenger featured in this clip has been upgraded with a Demon package supercharger. It is also tuned to burn 93-octane pump gas. The Dodge looks and sounds great. One key disadvantage? This Mopar is one heavy pig.

In the opposite lane is the new C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The C8 is not only the first Corvette to adopt a mid-engine platform, it also comes with one of the most powerful naturally aspirated engines ever used in a Corvette. The 6.2-liter LT2 motor can make 495hp and 470 lb.-ft. of torque at peak RPM. The big V8 is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In stock condition, the C8 Stingray can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8-seconds and turn the standing quarter-mile in 11.2-seconds @ 122 mph. This one has been modified with a cat delete kit. It’s tuned to burn an ethanol blend. This version of the Corvette is good in the curves and the straightaways.

Time for some racing.
