Custom Ford Mustang Fox Body FX

Get a load of this awesome Mustang Fox Body. When you look at this build – the muscular stance, the pristine paint and body work, the sleek lines and the one-off accents – remember that less than a year ago, it was a bare sheet metal hull. That was before the boss (wife) got involved. Once she laid down the law, the project jumped off. Take a look:

First impressions take you to the paint job and the custom hood. Car owner, David took care of the paint and body work with his own two hands. He gifted the Mustang to his wife who always wanted a Shelby GT350. David didn’t get her the GT350, but he did get her the hood. He cut the center section (with heat extractor) out of a GT350 hood and welded it into the stock Fox Body hood. The whole car looks great, and the hood sets it off. The color is 2019 Ford Performance Blue.

Under the hood, we have a shaved engine bay. The hood is tastefully insulated with a welding blanket. However, the jewel of the underhood area is the heavily chromed 5.0-liter V8 Ford mill – that’s right, no LS swap here. The 302 cubic-inch motor has been milled out to 331 cubic-inches and outfitted with forged internals. The camshaft is high-performance aftermarket. The custom aftermarket intake manifold is sitting on a custom ground spacer to provide enough clearance for the one-of-a-kind hood. Also, the body color matched (Ford Racing) valve covers are a nice touch.

This pretty pony is running a 5-speed manual transmission and an 8.8-inch Ford differential.
