Cadillac CTS-V Battles Dodge Viper on the Street

October 29th, 2015

CTS-V vs Viper SRTIn the real world of street racing Caddys don’t rub fenders with Vipers – or do they? In this clip at least one Cadillac not only takes on an SRT Viper but leaves it in its tracks. This video consists of two passes. In the first pass, the Viper has the go-go juice turned up to 1,100 psi and he gives the CTS-V a decent run.  In the second run, the Viper turns the laughing gas down to 900 psi and only puts forth a paltry effort, at best.

Both cars are equipped with a healthy dose of NOS from Nitrous Outlet. The Cadillac has a built motor and a factory supercharger to go with it. This car has posted a 8.8-second 1/4-mile at 158 mph, in a previous clip. The Viper SRT is also a familiar ride. It has all the bolt-ons; including a cold air intake, exhaust headers, and a throttle plate spacer. He is running a 250hp-shot of nitrous and CCW wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson drag radials. This is some great heads-up street racing.
