We are going back home tonight – to these streets – for some roll racing action on the interstate. This is a grudge match on the open roads of Mexico. Things are about to get heated.

On the right is the C6 (2005 to 2013) Chevrolet Corvette Z06. This one has undergone an engine swap. The new mill is a naturally aspirated 7.0-liter all-aluminum beast with an upgraded camshaft and cylinder heads. It’s also got a carbon fiber intake manifold, and it’s tuned to burn E85. This thing sounds sweet.

In the right lane is the BMW M4 (E89) with its turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine. The motor is stock, but it has been modified with a 64-millimeter turbocharger. It’s bolted to a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The N/A Corvette is lightning quick down low. The BMW takes a minute to get past the turbo lag but once it gets spooled-up, it’s a monster.

On the agenda for this evening are hits beginning at 50 mph and 60 mph. Enjoy the action.
