Baddest Bentley Ever – 782HP Continental GT Speed

October 2nd, 2024

We are reconnecting with Top Gear Honcho Ollie Marriage for a look at the all-new Bentley Continental GT Speed. Ollie will climb behind the wheel of what is being called the baddest Bentley yet. He will put the car through its paces on the winding thoroughfares of the scenic Swiss Alps.

So, what makes this Bentley so special?

Frankly, it all begins with balance. For the first time ever, the Continental GT Speed has near perfect front-to-rear weight distribution. This dramatically improves handling and makes the car feel less clumsy in the corners. While previous models have featured heavy W12 engines in front with little to no ballast in the rear, the all-wheel drive 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed is equipped with a twin turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 mill and an electric motor. The lithium-ion batteries that feed the electric motor are located underneath the trunk space providing an offset to the twin turbo engine. Combined, the powerplant is capable of producing the equivalent of 782hp and 738 lb.-ft. of torque. The transmission is an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Right out of the box, the new Bentley can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9-seconds and turn the quarter-mile in 10.8-seconds with a top speed of 208 mph. Keep in mind that’s at a curb weight of 5,500-pounds.

Enjoy the pristine panorama of the Alps.
