Bad Rat Chevy Camaro – The Baddest COPO Ever

April 28th, 2025

This is a “good news/bad news” clip. First the good news: You are about to see the baddest COPO (Central Office Production Order) Chevrolet Camaro ever produced by General Motors. The bad news? Only three of these Bad Rat Camaros will ever be built.

Every gearhead whose heart pumps motor oil has dreamt of having a COPO car built to their specifications. The Bad Rat was built to the exacting specs of three serious muscle car guys; one of which pulls the strings at Turn Key Automotive Custom Builds which also houses the COPO build center. Get a load of this:

Despite its matte black finish, the exterior of the Bad Rat is exceptional in its consistency. The paint and body work alone require more than 300 hours of dedicated workmanship to complete. Keep in mind that the Bad Rat begins as a brand-new automobile. The only shiny part on this car is the carbon fiber hood. With the Bad Rat logo, it’s stunning. Wait until you see the vehicle identification number. Of course it’s got a fuel cell, a weight box, batteries in the trunk – and a parachute on the back.

The interior contains racing bucket seats, safety harnesses and a full roll cage.

Stuffed under the hood is a naturally aspirated (fuel injected) 632 cubic-inch Rat Motor (Big Block). This GM Performance product is compromised of a cast iron (Tall Deck) block with aluminum spread port cylinder heads. The crankshaft is forged 4340 steel. The connecting rods are forged steel H-Beam design with forged aluminum alloy pistons. Up top the camshaft is a billet steel hydraulic roller with forged aluminum roller rockers. Most big blocks are configured for low RPM. This Bad Rat motor can rev to 7,000 RPM and produce 1,100hp.

That is one nasty rodent.
