All-Motor Asphalt Assault – Dodge Charger R/T vs. Mustang GT 40 to 150 MPH

January 6th, 2025

Our man Frank is going live on the streets (of Mexico) with a pair of all-motor monsters. This will be a roll race (40 to 150 MPH) on an open interstate in the cool night air. Buckle-up, be safe and enjoy the sights and sounds of real-life street racing.

The Dodge Charger R/T sedan is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.7-liter HEMI V8 motor. The big HEMI mill is mated to an automatic transmission. This Mopar has been upgraded with a set of high-performance cylinder heads and a big thumpstick (camshaft). The Charger is also running a 100hp shot of nitrous and it has undergone some degree of weight reduction.

In the other lane is the Ford Mustang GT. Equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission, the Mustang GT is the iconic American sports coupe. This one has been modified with a set of long tube exhaust headers and an E85 tune. It sounds amazing.

It’s time to hit the highway and see what shakes loose.
