900HP Twin Turbo 1963 Chevy C10

May 16th, 2017

Check out this beat up Chevy pickup. This thing looks like it drove through the ugly forest and hit every tree. This work truck is so ugly that it could make a freight train take a dirt road. It’s UGLY!

Good thing that it ain’t how you look – it’s what you got under your hood.

Under the imaginary hood, you will be privileged to feast your eyes upon a built 370 cubic-inch LQ9 engine with a stock crankshaft, Callie’s connecting rods, JE pistons, upgraded cylinder heads, and a custom ground camshaft. Forced air induction is left to a more than capable Turbonetics TT setup with a pair of Turbonetics 6968 turbos. A Powerglide transmission with a Roadrunner torque converter helps to ease all those ponies to the differential.

The Holley LS Fest was the maiden voyage (so to speak) for this bad bowtie. It still manages to put down a 9.24-second pass @ 138.3 mph.

We are looking for even bigger and better things from this ugly truck before the season is complete.
