800HP Chevy Silverado Turbo – Ride Along

May 21st, 2021

This video features a cowboy Cadillac with a bunch of giddy-up-and-go. Specifically, it is a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (half-ton) 2WD short bed pickup with a factory motor. The truck interior is intact with full instrumentation, climate control and audio system. It is very much a street truck.

Under the hood of this Silverado is a 6.0 LT4 engine running a stock bottom end (crankshaft, connecting rods, cylinders and pistons) with a turbo camshaft and a set of 799 (2005 and up) cylinder heads. It has a Trailblazer intake manifold, Bosch 210 fuel injectors and a VS Racing 80-millimeter turbo. Speaking of the turbo – it has twin 39-millimeter wastegates and a custom intercooler. The heavy Chevy is burning E85 fuel and sporting a BTP tune. The automatic transmission is a 4L80E with a Circle D torque converter. Out back we have a posi-track rear end with an 8.8-inch ring gear and a final drive gear ratio of .410/1. The truck made 815whp running 17psi of boost.

Climb in, buckle up and hang on!
