253 MPH Dodge Viper – World’s Fastest
January 24th, 2020On a closed private airstrip; on a clear Florida morning, an uncontested 2006 Dodge Viper rolled onto the tarmac with testing new components as the primary focus.
The car was a 2006 Dodge Viper that had been radically modified with a system of twin turbochargers. The stock (8.4-liter V10) engine has been upgraded and professionally built. Output performance for this outrageous automobile is estimated to be in the range of 1,400whp and 1,177 lb.-ft. of torque. The front engine rear-wheel drive coupe weighs in at 3,480-pounds and has a 6-speed manual transmission.
As testing gets underway, it is noticed that top speed is nearing the world record. With this vehicle on a 2.7-mile closed course, why wouldn’t you take a shot? Just like that – the crew began unloading the trunk and interior. When every last bit of unnecessary weight was removed, the old Viper struck again. Check it out. 253 mph. Wow!
