2400WHP SRC Camaro – First Dyno Pulls

April 11th, 2025

The Hoskinson family has racing fuel in their blood. Father, Bill (Old Man’s Garage) has been street and drag racing for decades. Sons, Billy (Street Racing Channel) and Tommy (Gen 2 Garage) first caught my attention when Tommy was racing a Chevy S-10 with a small block and nitrous. Most of the racing was small time and still they struggled to keep up. Over the years, this humble family of racers has taken Bill’s vast knowledge of old school carbureted small block Chevys and combined it with the latest in modern forced air induction to build an impressive empire.

Bill has many remarkable builds to his credit. Currently, he races a Chevrolet Malibu powered by a nitrous small block. This is a legitimate 10-second street car. It is also dependable with cold a/c and all the amenities. In the works he has an 80s Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a twin turbo V8 specially designed for drag and drive events. Both these cars are low mileage, steel body street machines and they are pristine.

Tommy has his hands full with a twin turbo Ford Falcon and a twin turbo OBS Chevy pickup. His wife, Allison, is also a racer. Allison and her family represent the Mopar contingent and they have put together some insane builds, as well. Check out the Gen 2 Garage Channel on Youtube to get the full rundown.

Then there’s Billy. As the oldest son, Billy is the stud of the SRC stable. He’s also the brains behind most of their fuel injection and forced air induction tuning. He’s worked his way up from that nitrous small block S-10 to a twin turbo S-10 to a Nova with a twin turbo big block to the Camaro that is about to hit the dyno.

This twin turbo big block beast is the product of years of family (and friend) dedication. Late nights of busting knuckles and editing content when you just feel like sleeping. Thousands of phone calls and emails seeking help from folks that are trying to do their own thing – then being pleasantly surprised when they take time to help you anyhow.

Racing has kept this family together through tough times. Now, look what they have accomplished in this 2,400+WHP Camaro.
