2016 Dodge Viper ACR – The Fastest Viper Ever

May 8th, 2015

2016 Dodge Viper ACRThe introduction of the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR (for American Club Racer) brings with it the promise of unrivaled performance. Though not exactly a straight line dragster, the ACR will be a beast on the road course. A six-foot dual element adjustable rear wing, multiple dive planes, a detachable front splitter extension, removable hood louvers, and a rear underbody diffuser provide supreme aerodynamic properties and optimum downforce at the 177 mph top speed. Specially designed Kumho Ecsta V720 tires in massive 295/25R19 (front) and 355/30R19 (rear) and 10-way adjustable Bilstein shocks yield the stickiness in the corners.

The familiar 8.4-liter V10 engine sends 645-horsepower and 600-lb.-ft. of torque through a Tremec TR6060 manual gearbox and to the rear wheels. Interior amenities are sparse but consumers can opt for Dodge’s “1-of-1” special order program if customization is their bag.
