1962 Chevrolet Bel Air – 650hp Supercharged LS9

August 11th, 2021

Once again Shawn from Autotopia LA is showing us the goods. This time it’s a 1962 Chevrolet “Bubble Top” Bel Air. Make no mistake, this ain’t your typical Heavy Chevy. It has undergone some transformational body mods and it is riding on an Art Morrison chassis with fully adjustable coilover shocks. This classic Chevy has everything it needs to make it look beautifully vintage – but perform like brand new. Have a look.

Under the bonnet is a genuine work of art. The supercharged LS9 (6.2-liter) engine is capable of delivering 650hp to the rear wheels through a Bowler prepped Tremec T-56 6-speed manual transmission. This car accelerates, handles and even stops (on Baer brakes) as good as it looks.

The unique wheels are Billet Specialty Grinders wrapped in Redline radials.

The luxurious interior is done by the Recovery Room in Lilburn, Georgia.

Enough talk Shawn. Shut-up and take us for a ride!
