1100HP 1930 Ford Model A Sedan Rail Job – Drag Racing
May 25th, 2022Greetings drag racing fans. Allow me to introduce you to Butch. He is the proud owner (and fabricator) of this one-of-a-kind 1930 Ford Model A Sedan Rail Job. Let’s take a closer look at what makes this contraption click.
Out front is a massive blown 542 cubic-inch Brodix big block. Shifting duties are left to a 4-speed Lenco transmission with air-assist shifting. The big blower is a GMC 871 making 25-pounds of boost. This pre-war brute has dyno’d a 942hp number to the rear wheels. The front suspension and rear differential are new so, we get to tag along as Butch works the bugs out.
Running in the 6.0 Index Class, Butch and the crew are ready to get this crate on the track and see what falls off.
First things first; Butch takes the 1320 cameraman on a street mission. This thing looks like something from the Munsters. It’s low and loud, but it gets from point A to point B in one quick hurry.
