10 Best Street Races of 2021 – TT Mustang, 850hp BMW, Viper, 900hp ZR1 and More

January 5th, 2022

Here are the top ten street (roll) races of the past year. This is what happens when gearheads with money prepare machines that are purpose built for roll racing on the streets (of Mexico). Buckle up. It’s about to get real.

First up is a contest between a twin turbocharged Ford Mustang GT and a modified BMW M3 making 850hp. The Mustang dominates this affair shot from multiple camera angles.

Race number two pairs up a Whipple (supercharged) Ford Mustang and a C5 Chevrolet Corvette with a kit of nitrous. Both cars toe the line, and the countdown ensues. The Corvette hits the button, and a massive fire erupts in the engine bay. Luckily, the driver gets the car stopped and the flames are eventually extinguished.

In race three, we have an 873hp Kong ported (supercharged) Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 against an 850hp Corvette GS. These cars are back and forth in multiple hits. Very close races.

Race four pits a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (supercharged 6.2-liter V8) against a turbocharged Ford Mustang. In multiple hits, the Camaro runs true. This is more, good, close racing.

We are at the midway point, and we have a 2007 Ford Mustang GT500 (with a Kenne Bell 4.0-liter blower installed) rolling against a ProCharged Chevy Corvette. In the first pass, the Corvette jumps out front before the Mustang storms back and overtakes him. The second pass fizzles when the Mustang shuts off under acceleration.

Keep watching because the racing only heats up from here.
