How Oil Pressure Works - EricTheCarGuy
Here is the second offering from last weeks set of videos. The most
important thing to note with this is that oil pressure is not created by
the pump but rather the resistance to the outlet flow of that pump and part
of that resistance is the clearances between the bearings and the other
parts inside the engine. If nothing else I hope you are entertained,

This is what it means when a timing belt breaks. The valves bend after they
hit the pistons. This is a test i use to determine
quickly if severe damage has occured.A shop may use vacuum or simply
rebuild the head as bent valves become obvious when refaceing them.Valves
of a small stem diameter may not leak as the valve spring pressure
pulls the valve straight enough to seal.
But after repeated cycles of opening the head of the valve will break of
destroying the engine.
Also the valve guides are usually cracked in KIA HYUNDAI heads and the
smalls pieces will go in the engine.I have seen guides cracked in all the
16 valve heads
