Spike 1986 LS1 swaped Camaro
A day at the Dyno for
calibration. April 30, 2011.
About the car (from my brother SpikeIROC) :
- The car is an 1986 Camaro IROC.
- Headlights are eBay cheapos that will soon be swapped for LED
- It put down 400 whp and 390 tq thu a T56 and a fabbed 9" rear end.
- Brakes are C6Z front and rear.
- I swapped hatch to get the cleaner look I was looking for.
- It was trailered to the Dyno because it was not tuned
and I was not willing to risk damaging my new engine.
- The car The wheels are Bonspeed Intense 5. They are now powdercoated

Third gen 1986 Trans Am frame up restoration Vid 1
Here is the first vid in a few I plan on putting together showing the work
done so far on my 1986 trans am. The car is getting a turbocharged 5.3 LSx engine and a T56 transmission
as well as all BMR suspension. There will be no money spared in this build
so stay tuned for more updates.
3rd Gen Camaro Build
A (lotta) work in progress. I started this project to swap a 191cubic inch
V6 to a 350 V8 (along with performance parts, and swapping & upgrading the
transmission) in 2009. (see modifications list below.) These are pictures
and videos as I progressed and the very first engine start and test drive.
I applied primer to protect the metal as I knew I would have to put the
project on hold, which is where it has been since. Plan to start again by
gutting & redoing the interior here in 2012.

1985 IROC Z28 BRAND NEW
Anyone that would like to see what happened to this car after I sold it
should visit www.thirdgen(dot)org. Go to the message boards and do a search
for "4.3 mile IROC-Z". There are informative comments along with videos and
pictures of the car cleaned up and running. All the people that have
commented how much work would be needed to clean it up and get it running
are proved wrong. The car was sold by that owner over a year ago at a Mecum
auction for $27K and has yet to surface again.
Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - Test Drive and Hoon of a 3rd Gen
A simple morning drive featuring a 1982 Camaro Z28 with a few mechanical
updates. This car was built to be driven and I do... a lot.

Intellitronix digital dash cluster for 3rd gen Camaro
okay I just recently got this, was always wanting to have a digital dash
display like this. they use to sell this for Nordskog digital gauges. then
you couldn't find them on the market. A company Intellitronix has them
again for sale on ebay. I believe they was the makers of them for Nordskog,
which no longer has them from what I know. you can find another style made
by Dakota digital. but I went with this cause I like the look. but I found
out one main issue for install, this cluster can't relate to the cars
computer on how fast ts going. I can pull the bulb out for check engine
light. but I don't want to do that. anyone with info on how to solve this
LS1 Third Gen Camaro Z28 LS1 Swap Comp Cam
This is my 85 z28 with a LS1 in it. We just finished this car and this was
after the first drive. This is before we tuned the car.
This car has original paint and interior!
This is a LS1 with 241 heads and LS6 intake.
Cam: comp cam 275hr
1999 s10 ls1 swap
It took me 2 months and 3 weeks to complete the swap after I built the
engine. Cab was removed and everything under the truck cab forward has
been detailed and painted. Battery is under right rear of cab,
transmission cooler and fan are under the bed. Engine is out of a 01
Corvette and has a Lunati Voodoo cam 60510. Home built 1 3/4 stainless
fenderwell headers into 2.5" Exhaust
into dynatech mufflers with C6 Vette tips. Home built air intake that goes
straight down into 3.5" aluminum tubing off of the throttle body and into a
T with 2 air filters tucked under the front bumper. Truck has A/C and all
the creature comforts. It drives like a beast thanks to Pete for the
perfect tune. Truck is not finished but I do drive it. Have a couple more
connections to finish out under the hood then Ford 9" rear and new wheels
and tires. Hopefully in the fall I will remove the bed and detail out the
frame back there.
LS Engine Swap Part 2 - High Performance Intake & Throttle Body Install
Chuck's Garage is back with part 2 of our LS Engine Swap. Last time Chuck
showed us his $100 69 Chevelle chassis he picked up on Craig's List. He
also swaped out his Big Block 454 for a 5.3L LS Engine.Today Chuck takes
the old factory intake off the LS engine and replaces it with a high
performance intake and throttle body.
