Muscle Car Of The Week Video #57: 1970 Plymouth Superbird 426 Hemi
There is nothing subtle about this week's Muscle Car Of The Week.
This Everything about this 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird helps it
to stand out in a crowd... the brilliant TorRed color, the high rear wing,
the aerodynamic nose, and of course, the growling 426 Hemi V8 under the
hood. However, this very car was chosen by some not-so-brilliant
outlaws to be the getaway car from a Harrah's Casino heist in Reno, Nevada.
Although they might have thought the speed of a NASCAR superspeedway
flyer like this would have helped them escape, they were quickly
apprehended and the car taken from them. Today, the car lives a
much more lawful existence in the Brothers Collection, where it resides in
restored glory safe from wrongdoers. We certainly don't condone unlawful
acts, but we bet the getaway ride was fun!
1970 Plymouth Superbird at the 2010 Mopar Nationals. This is the actual
car that won the Daytona 500. This was confirmed by the mechanics that
built the car back in 1970. When they finished restoring the car they
fired it up and the engine wasn't running right so Richard Petty himself
took his screwdriver and tuned the carb and got it running perfect!

According to the original window sticker, this Superbird originally sold
for $4,794.62 back in 1970.
During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the
vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel
economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach
you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed
fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership
yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique
differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it
would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion
with rev and Exhaust note with
interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car
designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

The Daytona and Superbird show
This my first video on you tube so forgive me if i had made some mistakes
in the film.
About the show
This is a little tribute to 2 of the famous cars to ever race around the
banks of speedways in the U.S between 1969 to 1971.
Famous drivers like Richard Petty Bobbie Allision and many others drove
these cars in Nascar ACRA and the old USAC series.

1970 Superbird & 1972 Cuda Racing On Interstate 75
This is my red, white and blue Superbird back when it was a stock Alpine
White Superbird. A group of us were on our way from Detroit, Michigan to
Columbus, Ohio for a Mopar show in September of 1985. We all had C.B.
radios and I lined up against a buddy of mine in a 1972 Cuda. The footage
was shot from another Superbird behind me. The "three count" was given
over the C.B. radio.
Good Bye Granny I Love You!
My beloved 1970 Sport Satellite sedan "Granny." Born as a six cylinder car
I transformed her (with help from Vic Milano and Stewart Logan) into a fire
breathing 440 "sleeper" car. She was nicknamed "Grandmere Demers" as a
tribute to Charles Demers' beautful '70 Six Pack Roadrunnner and she even
spent two years as a Six Pack car herself. Bought her from Tom Connors in
late 1994 with 133,000 miles showing, she leaves with 187,177. God bless
you "Granny" I'll always love you and ALWAYS miss you! MAY YOU LIVE
