Extreme cold start -33C (-27,4F), no pre-heat, Mazdaspeed 6 turbo
Please, read description below! It will most likely answer your question. We were on a ski trip in northern Finland. The whole week was freezing, -25C to -35C all the time. Obviously, it was too cold to ski. The car layed completely unused on a parking lot for five days. When leaving, I had to do this cold start, and thought it would be worth filming. Battery was original, about five years old, and it survived really well. No Engine heater, battery heater/charger or any other device was used. Pure cold start. Idle revs are higher at low temperatures, thanks to automatic choke. Nobody touches the accelerator at any time. I'm actually releasing the clutch @ 0:43 to keep revs low, I thought cold and thick transmission oil would cause some troubles to engine and lower the revs. If I remember correctly, idle revs were somewhere around 2500 - 3000 rpm during the start. The coldest start before this was -22C. It's much more gentle for the engine than this. However, after this I got new battery and a block heater, just in case. I know continuous starts like this will kill the engine very quick, but doing it once hardly did any damage. Car had 150 000km (almost 100 000 miles) on it when I sold it, and it still worked fine.

Big Turbo Srt4 Dyno - 509trq/ 497whp - Gypsy street racing
509 trq 497hp on a Dynocom loaded eddy current Dyno...ALL STOCK 2.4l srt4 motor, head, cams, intake and clutch... turbo is a Precision 5857sp on 26.5 lbs of Boost running e85 fuel. Stopped the pulls @ only 5500rpm because im on stock clutch with over 500trq and I wanted to keep the clutch in one piece for just a lil longer. Car has plenty left in it and has alot of potential to get faster with some mods..500+whp and 509+ trq can easily be achieved as is with a good clutch and more rpm. Car weight is 2850 lbs . Gets over 30mpg on 93 octane. :) =-=-=-=-DISCLAIMER-=-=-=-=- All the songs in these videos are not created by me they are created by their respective performers. 2007 GT35R Forester XT cosworth cams idling Built motor and heads GT3582r
Just a short video of my monster FXT and its lumpy idle. It doesn't always do this, its just for a short while when its warming up. Its got Cosworth 278/274 cams in it, and they like to be heard while its warming up I guess Its a full built monster of a motor with a rotated 35r and methanol injection. JDM STI Spec C RA non dccd 6 speed, brembos, all of it. Its a blast to drive and is scary fast.
