Built as an all-round event's car, Charles' Mazda RX-7 has undergone serious chassis and engine changes including a Promaz Automotive bridge-port 20B rotary engine. Boost comes from a Garrett turbocharger while the engine runs on methanol fuel controlled by a MicroTech LT16 computer and LTC dash logger. Backed by a Jerico 5-speed dogbox, the clutch was suffering on the Dyno as the Promaz team got the car ready for Performance Car Mania. 1998 Mazda B2500 Clutch, Flywheel and Hydraulic System Installation
We're replacing the clutch, flywheel, master cylinder and slave cylinder. The slave cylinder had been leaking and the reservoir was actually empty. While the clutch is pretty simple, the hydraulic system on this series of vehicle has been quite a challange. The system is common to many of the B-Series and Ranger pickups.
