Santa Pod 12th Sept 2009 European Finals
One of the major drag racing events of the year. Introduced by Richard
Henry at the start. Features all sorts of classes, plus lots of extras such
as a stunt show, monster trucks, and trick bikes. But I mostly feature the
drag racing here, and take you on a little tour around the pit area. You'll
see Fireforce 3, one of the jet cars that runs there at about 250mph. Plus
modified Corvettes, Chevys, and even a Ford Cortina estate. If you've never
experienced drag racing I do recommend it but remember it is probably the
loudest form of motorsport there is, and it is just fantastic to stand near
the finish line as something flashes past at 250-300 mph.
